Our research group that started in 1995 develops work on molecules, solids, surfaces, interfaces and nanostructured systems. Our main goal is to study the electronic, structural, transport and magnetic properties of semiconductor, insulating and ionic materials. We have been developing work in our institution involving Master and Doctoral students, as well as in partnership with other national researchers from USP, UFSM, UFMG, Unicamp, UFSCar and UFF, involving integrated projects such as TheoNano Network, Pronex and Procad. We also have collaborations with foreign groups from the University of Exeter-GB, University of Tennessee-USA, Autonomous University of Puebla-Mexico and Queens University-Canada.
