Study of physical properties of magnetic (long range or frustrated), ferroelectric, multiferroic, metallic oxides, intermetallic, semiconductor, ceramics, glass, polymer materials. All are investigated in systems with different scales of atomic correlation: volumetric, films and / or nanoscopic. Included are crystallographically complex and disordered materials. Experimental measurements of high resolution X-ray and neutron diffraction, electron microscopy, impedance spectroscopy, optical absorption, photo and thermoluminescence, inelastic neutron and X-ray scattering, give support to the scope of this research line with strong national and international collaboration to achieve its goals.
