This line of research is dedicated to the precise determination of the position and velocity of celestial bodies, the establishment of reference systems and accurate timekeeping, and the physical characterizarion of these objects. It is particularly applied to objects within the Solar System and Planetary Systems: planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and other minor bodies. Each planetary system is unique, and its study can provide us with clues about the formation and evolution of the Solar System. The application of observational techniques, such as stellar occultation, or numerical methods, such as orbital mechanics, is essential in this type of study, as they are capable of obtaining physical characteristics of these distant bodies and shedding light on the regions they inhabit.
